Adoption Donation: $250 (applicable sales tax included) PLUS a $100 deposit is required and is to be refunded once proof of spay/neuter is provided to this rescue. Our adoption contract requires all dogs to be spayed/neutered within ONE Month of adoption or when age-appropriate. Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check.

Puppies generally need the following veterinary care after their adoption:

8 Weeks: Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella Vaccinations. 4 Luv of Dog Rescue completes these vaccinations before adoption.

12 Weeks: Distemper/Parvo Vaccination completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice.

16 Weeks: Distemper/Parvo & Rabies Vaccinations completed at the veterinarian of adopter's choice.

6 Months: Spay/Neuter surgery. **

Yearly thereafter: All dogs need yearly wellness exams performed by a veterinarian as well as booster vaccinations.

**Spay/Neuter surgeries cost between $200-$400 for a neuter surgery and $400-$600 for a spay surgery in the FM Area. Wellness visits can run from $75 to $150 for each visit. If you are thinking of adopting a puppy, it's a good idea to research these costs before adopting by calling the veterinarian of your choice.

Foster Home Feedback

1/31/26 Foster Feedback: We've had City for a little over a week now and she's an adorable little lady! Not potty trained, she sometimes use puppy pee pads, though not consistently yet. She's about 8 weeks old so that's to be expected. We have not ventured outside to potty yet with the outside temperature being below zero.
City has been sleeping well in a kennel by herself. She gets the cutest puppy zoomies when she's playing with our other dogs! She also has the typical puppy energy of play hard, sleep hard and is oh so sassy!
