Meet Sam! ??Sam is a 3-year-old standard poodle who found his way to us as a stray after being spotted roaming in a neighborhood. When he first arrived at the shelter, we scanned him for a microchip, hoping to reunite him with his family. Sadly, while Sam did have a chip, the owner's information was never updated, and all we had was the breederâs contact. Despite our best efforts reaching out to the breeder, we hit a dead endâno one has come to claim Sam ??.Now, Sam is searching for a fresh start and a loving home! Sam is a friendly guy with a gentle soul, but he can be a little nervous and flighty in new situations. When he met another dog at the shelter, he approached with his tail tucked, often hiding behind his handler or backing away when the other dog tried to play. While weâre still getting to know him, we believe Sam would thrive best in a calm, patient household where he can feel safe and comfortable.Because Sam is a bit unsure around other pups, we definitely recommend meet-and-greets with any potential canine ?? siblings to ensure everyone feels at ease. With time, love, and gentle guidance, we know Samâs personality will blossom in the right home.If youâre looking for a loyal companion whoâs ready to begin a new chapter, come meet Sam at the shelter!??
