Best Guess for Age: 5 years as of December 2025 SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 27 pounds

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special adoption considerations: In certain home settings -- where the environment might be loud or more intense -- Denali would do better with another dog in the home to give her confidence.
Denali is Looking For: A loving home where she can enjoy her next chapter. This 5-year-old, small black-and-white girl is past the puppy stage and ready to be someone's companion. With her striking looks and grown-up charm, Denali is hoping to find a forever home to share everyday moments together.

What My Foster Says About Me: Denali is a very sweet pup. She is curious and playful with our 9 year old resident dog! She is very easy to correct and not pushy when my dog doesn't want to play. She loves walks, other dogs and sleeps through the night in her crate.

Heartworm information: Denali is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Denali has completed this activity restriction period.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
