Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Xelena would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.
Xelena is Looking For: A family to give love and affection. Xelena loves people and dogs but needs a home to call her own. She'll thrive with training, exercise and a routine.
What My Foster Says About Me: Xelena is a super sweet pup. She loves snuggling up to her human and is content to be a couch potato but also really enjoys getting outside for long sniffy walks. The snuffle mat has been her favorite toy/game so far. She has been sleeping through the night in her crate. We are still working on building her confidence when meeting strangers and other dogs.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
