I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Freddy, and I am a cute little kitten! I won't ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be my kitten self.
What the Shelter Says About Me: Freddy, as you can see from his photos, is quite a joyful, confident soul with big amber eyes. He was found in the woods next to a very busy rural highway in NC. His guardian angel was driving at night and saw a little kitten walking beside the highway. She went back to find him and didn't see him. She called him and he meowed back. He limped out to her from the woods and let her pick him up. (He may have fallen out from beneath a car.) His rescuer took him to the vet the next day. He had an upper respiratory infection, an abrasion on his face, and fractured both bones in his left front leg. For all he had been through and being on the shoulder beside that highway - he was lucky and in good shape! His guardian angel brought him to the rescue where I volunteer and foster. I have been fostering Freddy since mid-November. He had crate-rest at first to let his leg heal some. He is a love bug! He will stay with me for an hour or two now. Freddy just rolls over, takes a nap, then rolls over again. He is so content in my arms. He took all of his medication and treatments with no problem. Freddy has not let his leg slow him down. He is always full of joy, is very playful, and is doing great! He is ready for his new family and next adventure. Please stay safe, Freddy!
