Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home
Anthony is Looking For: His forever home! This small sweetie and his brother Issa have enjoyed growing up together but now they're ready to split up and get their own humans.
Anthony is young, hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet, and is eager for long sniffy walks and romps and all the adventures his new family can dream up. Right now, the world seems so big and he is so small, and he'd like a friendly resident dog who will show him how to dog!And snuggles. Definitely snuggles. Most of all, though, he wants to know where he belongs and to be safe and loved for all his days. In exchange he promises so many adoring gazes, so much loyal companionship. What do you say? Is there a spot on your lap and in your life for him?
What My Foster Says About Me:
Anthony is an incredibly sweet little dog with a gentle personality. He can be a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, he becomes very affectionate and loves to cuddle. He enjoys being close to his people and will happily curl up next to you whenever he gets the chance.
He currently sleeps in a crate next to my bed that is elevated so he can see me. This helps him relax and settle for the night.
Anthony walks beautifully on leash and is very well-behaved during walks. He enjoys sniffing and exploring but stays calm and polite. He is also wonderful with other dogs. I have a Chihuahua mix who can be territorial, and Anthony has been extremely respectful of her space. .
Overall, Anthony is a loving, sensitive little companion who bonds deeply with his people. With patience, reassurance, and another friendly dog in the home, he will blossom into an incredibly devoted and cuddly best friend.
