Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. She lives with a dog in her foster home and is doing well!

Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.
Black Cherry is Looking For: Hi! I'm Black Cherry. The three of us - Black Cherry, Balto, and Buttercup - have enjoyed growing up together but now we're ready to split up and get our own human families. I'm looking for a home where I get to play to get all my puppy zoomies out and snuggle when I'm all pooped and to explore the world with my humans once I'm old enough! I want to make lots of pup pals too! And I want to go to puppy school, too, so I can show how super smart I am.
What My Foster Says About Me: Black Cherry is the perfect mix of adventurous little goofball and cuddle bug, with a happy, curious puppy personality. One minute she's zooming around the yard at full puppy speed, and the next she's curled up beside you for a nap like a little weighted blanket.
A few highlights:• Super smart and eager to learn• Already well on her way to being potty trained• Sleeps through the night in her crate• Learning to walk beautifully on a leash• Extremely affectionate and snuggly, loves to stay close to her people • Loves our resident dog and would easily join a household with dogs but would also thrive as an only pup soaking up all the attention
Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be "fully" vaccinated. It is the adopter's responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.
