Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.Princess is Looking For: Her forever home! Princess is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. Her experience with the world has been very limited and she hasn't seen nearly enough of it. She is eager to get her fresh start with her own humans in the DC area - she's well out of the puppy yips but still has plenty of pep in her step and wants to explore her new area on sniffy walks and adventures! But you know what she wants most of all? To know she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you see her down there by your side?What My Foster Says About Me: She spends most of her time sleeping on or next to me. She is quite affectionate. Very laid back and easy. She's also not made any mistakes inside and is quiet in her crate. She sleeps through the night in bed with me. She doesn't have any interest in toys but enjoys spending time with her foster siblings and is truly a special little soul. I anticipate she'll get more playful and adventurous - exploring toys etc - as she adjusts!
