Approximate Weight: 7.7 lbs

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.

Nessa is Looking For: Her forever home! Nessa is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She's eager to get herfresh start with her own humans in the DC area. Sniffy walks, romps, all the adventures in her new setting - yes, please! But you know what she wants most of all? To know she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you see her down there by your side?What My Foster Says About Me: Nessa is slowly coming out of her shell. She rarely barks but makes little squeaky noises. She is very spirited around meal time and loves to play. She enjoys relaxing on beds but dislikes being carried around. She still working on her leash walking, but is willing to go outside. Nessa will do best with someone who approaches her calmly, allowing her time to settle in and become more confident.
