Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of December 2025 SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 31 lbs as of 1/4/26- she is still growing!

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Ivy needs to go to a home with a resident dog to show her the ropes.

Ivy is Looking For: Ivy is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She's eager to get her forever family in the DC area. Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures her new humans can dream up - yes, please! Burning all that awesome young-dog energy while exploring her new area and playing with pup pals are high on her wish list. But right at the top is knowing she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange, she promises so many adoring gazes and tail wags - and love and loyal companionship for all her days.

What My Foster Says About Me: Ivy is everything you could want in a puppy. She is sweet as pie, snuggly and playful. Very friendly and confident with both people and dogs. She spends her time at our house playing with our dog, relaxing on the couch, and approaching us for a snuggle/pet. Our kids love her because she is friendly and likes to lick and snuggle. She is quickly learning to go outside to pee even without training. She walks very nicely on a leash. This dog will make a great companion, fun, loving and friendly!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
