Howlie is Looking For:
Meet Howlie, a handsome 5-year-old yellow Lab mix with a big heart and a friendly spirit. Howlie is the kind of dog who quickly wins people over with his friendly nature and smile.
At 5 years old, Howlie is the perfect blend of playful and mellow. He still loves a good romp or walk, but he's also content to settle in for some quiet time by your side. With his sweet personality and steady demeanor, Howlie is ready to be a loyal companion who will brighten your days for years to come.
What My Foster Says About Me: Howlie is a super sweet pup with a charming mix of playful energy and easygoing home manners. He enjoys making new dog friends at his own pace, and once he feels comfortable, his friendly, fun-loving side shines. Around the house, he's calm, quiet in his crate, and happy to relax with his people. He has a lively play style with canine companions and brings enthusiasm to his walks. Howlie is a wonderful blend of spirited and gentle, ready to find a family who appreciates his big heart and joyful personality.
Heartworm information: Howlie is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Howlie has completed this activity restriction period.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
