Blaze is Looking For:
Blaze is a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix who packs a whole lot of charm into his petite 10-pound frame. With his absolutely adorable ears and bright, expressive face, he's the kind of pup who turns heads wherever he goes.
Blaze is the perfect size for cuddling, carrying, or tagging along on daily adventures. He has a sweet presence and would love a cozy home where he can soak up affection and enjoy life at his own comfortable pace. Whether he's perched beside you or trotting proudly on a walk, Blaze brings warmth and personality to every moment.
What My Foster Says About Me:
Blaze has a ton of personality in a pint-sized package. He's very people-oriented and wants to be close to you. He seeks out affection and enjoys being near his person. He hasn't had any accidents, struts confidently on a leash, and is generally well behaved in the home. He seems used to crates and checked out his crate within a few minutes of getting home. Blaze is curious and wants to know what you're up to. He can hold his silly ears at all sort of angles and his lip often gets stuck on his teeth, which adds to his charm.
He's very comfortable around other dogs, both small and large. He reads body language well and remained calm even when larger dogs were overly forward with him. Blaze loves toys! He wishes we'd play fetch with him, but he's content to lie on the floor and squeak them.
Special adoption considerations: Blaze is a truly Lucky Dog. He tested positive for heartworms, but has been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. Blaze has completed this activity restriction period.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
