TRINITY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!
Come meet Trinity and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (08/17) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100 - A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!
Name: Trinity Best Guess for Breed: Australian cattle dog and blue heeler mix
Best Guess for Age: 3.5 years as of April 2026 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 51 lbs
Gets Along With: Trinity has lived with other dogs and kids before though we would still caution her with young kids due to her shyness. We haven't seen Trinity with cats, but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Special Adoption Considerations: Because Trinity is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes. Trinity is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment.

All About Trinity: Trinity is an incredibly affectionate dog who loves laps and belly rubs. She is intelligent and funny. She loves water and long hikes. She sleeps through the night, has no separation anxiety, and can be left alone with full run of the house. She will hike with you for miles, but is not high energy at home. She politely walks on a leash pass people and other dogs. She is easy to train, and knows sit, stay, down, paw, here, and watch. She is slow to warm up to another dog, but now gets along fine with the other dog in the house. She is shy at first, but bonds easily to her people, and started asking for belly rubs within a day of being in our house. She would prefer a quieter neighborhood.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
