I was rescued off the streets of Puerto Rico and been living in a cage for a while after losing my first family - I'm so excited for the new lease on life awaiting me in DC! Can you be a part of my amazing new life and give me a forever home?What My Foster Says About Me: (Updated 1/25/26) Meet Begotes, a tiny 13-year-old tuxedo lady with a heart as big as her personality! She's only about 6 pounds, but she's full of love for the right person. Begotes is the ultimate lap cat-she'll happily curl up with you for hours while you work, read, or play video games, enjoying every pet and forehead kiss you offer. She's confident, and being a wise older lady, she can sometimes get a little grumpy-but she's excellent at letting you know exactly how she feels.
Begotes is calm, gentle, and the definition of a "good girl." She loves using her cat scratchers, snuggling in cozy spots, and being held or cuddled when she's in the mood. She's playful in her own quiet way, but she isn't into chaos, so a calm home without young children is ideal. She's polite, always uses her litter box, and quickly becomes a joyful companion once she feels comfortable.
While adoption events can be overwhelming for her, at home Begotes is a total sweetheart who just wants a cozy space and someone patient and gentle to love her. She's the kind of cat who will settle into your heart and your lap, showing affection in quiet, meaningful ways. Begotes deserves a forever home where her cuddly, confident, and quirky personality can truly shine.
