I am Looking For: My loving forever family! Hi! I'm Othello, and I am a sweet boy! I won't ask for much- just some love, cuddles and lots of toys so I can run and play and be myself.
What the Shelter Says About Me: Othello is a whirlwind of enthusiasm and affection. Although an adult, he has a kitten's spirit and approaches every day like it's his best adventure yet. His boundless energy keeps him constantly exploring, playing, and discovering new favorite spots around any room he enters. (He often pops out of his condo in our Cat Room for a walk-about.) With a heart as big as his personality, he's always ready to shower his favorite people with love, purrs, and cuddles. He's the ultimate social butterfly who greets everyone like a long-lost friend, and makes an impression on everyone he meets. Othello has never met a toy, cardboard box, or dangling string he didn't want to investigate immediately. If you're looking for an outgoing cat who will fill your home with joy, laughter, and endless entertainment, this spirited explorer is ready to make you his partner in crime.
2/4/26 update! Othello is a gentle soul with a wild playfulness. He would likely do best in a home with an active sibling (fur sibling or otherwise), who he can chase and wrestle to his heart's content. He definitely needs to be kept occupied while his zoomies are going! Then, when he's all tuckered out, he'll plop down onto your lap for a stretch and warm snuggles. His energy levels are only matched by his snoozing levels, so you won't need to entertain him much (but a few well-placed toys and a laser pointer will do both of you wonders). At night, he'll be your personal shoulder warmer, and gladly accepts and returns affection with ease. With a soft purr and slow blinks, he makes himself right at home in your life, and you'll wonder what you ever did without his spunky cheer. If you are an active household in search of a loving and eager new companion, this feisty gentleman has been looking for you.
What My Foster Says About Me: Othello is a sweet, gentle, and playful boy. He may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he'll happily request lots of scratches and reward you with nonstop purring. He LOVES snuggling in his bed and making endless biscuits. When his shift at the biscuit factory is over, you'll find him exploring new spots around the house or playing on the cat hammock. Othello enjoys wand toys and even loves chasing small tennis balls -- he's the perfect mix of cuddly and curious! He never hisses, is great with the litter box, and has no problems being held. I think he would do well with other pets and/or children.
