Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!
Currently Living at: DC area foster homeSpecial adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think this pup would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.Osman is Looking For: His forever home! Osman is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. His experience with the world has been very limited and he hasn't seen nearly enough of it. He is eager to get his fresh start with his own humans in the DC area - he's eager to explore his new area on sniffy walks and adventures! But you know what he wants most of all? To know he's safe and loved, where he belongs. In exchange he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days.

What My Foster Says About Me: Osman is shy but he has discovered that snuggling is pretty great! He has been quiet and polite, and does well in his crate. His favorite activity is napping on cozy blankets. And yes, that means going out into the cold with all the ice and snow on the ground right now is not his favorite activity. He's definitely looking forward to warmer days!He's a sweetie who is still coming out of his shell and enjoying getting and giving love.
