Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Camilo is shy and must go to a home with a resident dog to show him the ropes.Camilo is Looking For: His forever home! Camilo is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. His experience with the world has been very limited and he hasn't seen nearly enough of it. He is eager to get his fresh start with his own humans in the DC area - he's eager to explore his new area on sniffy walks and adventures! But you know what he wants most of all? To know he's safe and loved, where he belongs. In exchange he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Can you see him down there by your side?What My Foster Says About Me: It's taken a week, but Camilo has gained a great deal of confidence. The dog who initially did not want to leave his crate now follows me and my husband around and wants to snuggle on the couch. He's great at the dog park and friendly with dogs he meets when walking on leash. We're working on potty training and he's doing very well.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
