Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!

Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Sebastian MUST to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to show him the ropes. Sebastian is Looking For: His forever home! Sebastian is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. His experience with the world has been very limited and he hasn't seen nearly enough of it. He is eager to get his fresh start with his own humans in the DC area - he's eager to explore his new area on sniffy walks and adventures! But you know what he wants most of all? To know he's safe and loved, where he belongs. In exchange he promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all his days. What do you say? Can you see him down there by your side?What My Foster Says About Me: Sebastian is a sweet, mellow, and endearingly silly little guy who is making wonderful progress as he settles in. While he's still decompressing, he's grown more curious each day-venturing out to watch the humans, accept treats (especially cheese!), and even sneak into the human bed for cozy snuggles and back scratches. Sebastian gets along well with his canine companions and is already showing how much he wants to be close to people. With a little patience and love, this gentle boy is blossoming into a truly special companion.
