CREMITA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!
Name: Cremita Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix
Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of November 2025 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 36 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! Cremita has been very respectful of the resident cat so far. We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Because Cremita is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home

Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Because Cremita is shy, she needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show her the ropes.
Cremita is Looking For: Cremita is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She's eager to get her forever family in the DC area. Long sniffy walks, romps in parks, all the adventures her new humans can dream up - yes, please! Burning all that awesome young-dog energy while exploring her new area and playing with pup pals are high on her wish list. But right at the top is knowing she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange, she promises so many adoring gazes and tail wags - and love and loyal companionship for all her days.
What do you say? Is there a spot in your home and your heart for Cremita?
What My Foster Says About Me: Cremita is marshmallow sweet. She was so scared at first, but came out of her shell after a few days. She is great with my old dog and let's him win some of their wrestling matches. She's trying desperately to win over the cat, but she's still giving 'meh' vibes. She likes walks (but Hugo must come with her or she heads for home at the first scary thing) but LOVES racing around the yard and belly rubs. She's still pretty shy with strangers but I can tell she wants to trust. She likes her crate and has been very good about doing her business outdoors. She's becoming a believer in a good people, soft beds and doggie friends and I think she'll only continue to get braver.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
