WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Kimiko, a beautiful 1-year-7-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier who is wondering how he ended up at the shelter, and hoping that his next home will finally be his forever home. Kimiko has already experienced two homes in his young life. We donât know anything about his first home, but for the past six months he lived with a family who described him as good with adults, children as young as 3, and other dogs. As always, we recommend a meet-and-greet with any potential canine sibling to make sure everyone is a good match. Kimiko has never lived with cats, so we donât know how he would feel about feline roommates. There is a LOT to love about this boy! Kimiko is friendly, social, affectionate, and incredibly cuddly. He loves being petted and spending time with his people, but he also has plenty of energy and absolutely loves to play. Give him some toys and he is one happy guy! He especially enjoys small toys that fit in his mouth, although fair warning, he thinks taking them apart can be just as much fun as playing with them. He also loves bones filled with treats or goodies inside. Kimiko is food motivated, curious, and already knows âsit,â âstay,â and âpaw.â His staff and volunteer friends have been thoroughly impressed with him, describing him as wonderful, friendly, playful, and eager to interact. One volunteer even declared him âthe smartest boy!â We have to agree that he certainly seems to have a bright little brain behind those beautiful eyes. Kimiko loves being outside and would enjoy a family who can give him plenty of opportunities for exercise, play, training, and adventure. But after all that activity, heâs perfectly happy to cuddle up and soak up some affection. Kimiko doesnât understand why heâs here, but we hope his shelter stay is simply the bridge to the home he has been waiting for. He deserves a family who will see what everyone here already sees: a smart, loving, playful, affectionate boy with so much potential and so much love to give. This is Kimikoâs third home. Letâs make sure itâs his last.
