WATCH MY VIDEO...Ten years ago, Cookie left our shelter and went into what she hoped would be her forever home. For a whole decade, she was part of a family; sharing quiet moments, sunny windowsills, and the comforting routines of daily life. But life sometimes changes in ways no one expects. When her beloved owner recently became ill and could no longer care for her, Cookie found herself back with us, patiently waiting for a new chapter to begin. Now a mature lady, Cookie is a bit more reserved at first, but once she settles in, her personality starts to shine. She enjoys being pet, though like many wise cats, she prefers affection on her terms and will happily let you know when the timing is just right. One of her sweetest habits is quietly following her people around the house, keeping you company as you go about your day. Cookie still has a playful side too. She loves chasing laser pointers and batting at scratching pads, proving that even at her age she still enjoys a good game. When new people come by, she may duck away for a moment to assess the situation, but curiosity usually wins and she’ll soon come out to say hello. She can be a bit of a diva at times and may get a little jealous, especially since she tends to have a more dominant personality, but that just means she enjoys having her special place in the spotlight. After ten wonderful years in a home, Cookie knows exactly what it means to be someone’s companion. What she needs now is another chance. A calm, loving home where she can once again follow her person from room to room, soak up affection, and spend her days being the cherished cat she’s always been.
