WATCH MY VIDEO...Jenny is a 7 year old American Staffordshire Terrier with a gentle heart who is going through a big life change. She was surrendered when her family could no longer afford to care for her, after spending the past three years in their home. Jenny is a sweet, friendly girl who has lived with adults, children as young as one year old, and other dogs. She is crate trained, knows sit and paw, and does well during baths. She has a calm and loving nature and does not growl or bark at other animals. Her experience with cats is unknown. Right now, Jenny seems a bit timid and unsure of her surroundings. When first greeted, she was excited to see a friendly face and happy to go for a walk. Once out and about, she stayed close, often keeping near walls or trying to walk behind for comfort. She may not fully understand leash cues yet, but she is easy to guide and willing to move along with gentle encouragement.Jenny did not actively seek out attention during her time outside, but once back in her kennel, she relaxed, laid down, and welcomed affection. She softly accepted pets and even gave a few sweet kisses, showing the loving companion she truly is. She appears to be a little nervous and possibly sad as she adjusts to her new environment. She enjoys simple pleasures like rubbing her body in the grass, even though she does have a grass allergy, which is something her future family should keep in mind. Jenny is looking for a patient and caring home that will give her the time she needs to feel safe again. With kindness and reassurance, her confidence will grow, and her affectionate, loyal personality will shine through. She is a lovable dog who just needs a second chance to feel secure and cherished once more.
