Notes from foster: `Scruf, Scruffy, Otis, has been such a joy to foster. He thrives in belonging to a family, and quickly and happily became accustomed to our busy household, He was unphased by the multiple cats, two dogs (one very large and one very small), and countless visitors. He may be initially timid. Despite this, he is an incredibly happy dog. We initially encountered him at our local gas station, where he began to follow us, on foot or even as we drove away. His loyalty and gentle temperament were not something we could have overlooked. He is so happy to be loved, to have companions, and to being committed to always being at someoneâs side. He is eager to please, as heâs proven to be easy to train, via praise and small treats. He came to us completely potty trained, and communicative about his need to go outside. He is quiet, and rarely barks. He likes cats, dogs, and has met multiple children. Because he doesnât chew on, scratch, or otherwise damage things, he has never been kenneled and does not require it. Scruf deserves a home, an attentive family, and at least one committed companion who is happy to have a dog at his heel. We will miss him tremendously, but will be thrilled to see him go to folks like us, who see how wonderful he is.`
