Thistle

Meet Thistle. She is a 3 year old Miniature Pincer mix who weighs 17 lbs. Thistle is a gentle, shy soul who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She is house-trained and is already a pro in her crate, where she feels secure and comfortable.

This sweet girl is reserved and timid at first, often fearful and cautious until she learns to trust. But once she feels safe, Thistle blossoms into a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be close to her person-she'll even snuggle under the covers at night.

Thistle will thrive in a quiet, adult-only home with few visitors. Because of her fearfulness and potential as a flight risk, a secure fenced yard is required. She coexists peacefully with other dogs but prefers to be the only dog in the home, as she can be protective of her special person.

Her foster mom describes her as a dog who "wants desperately to trust" and believes that with patience, Thistle will become the "super dog she is meant to be."

Her adoption fee is $250 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
