Laura (A140853) is a 9-month-old DSH who weighed 5.31 pounds on intake! 01/22/26 This delightful kitty is Laura! Laura arrived at the shelter as a stray after being found outside in the elements. She arrived at our facility with an upper respiratory infection and the tips of her ears and toe pads frostbitten. She was seen by the shelter vet and started on an appropriate treatment plan; she has a few more days left of her antibiotics, but she has been given the clear for adoption. It is expected that the tips of her ears and the skin on her toe pads will fall off. However, through all this, she has remained in good spirits! Laura uses his litterbox and eats well! She especially loves her canned food! We do think that to help set Laura up for success, she would do best in a home without small children, as she has been through a lot. It is also important to be mindful of doors and windows, so she does not accidentally end up outside again. We do not know if she has ever lived with other animals. As she is still being treated for an upper respiratory infection, she should be kept separate from other cats.
