Koda (A140063) is an 8-year-old husky who weighed nearly 50 lbs at intake!04/03/26 Miss Koda is back at the shelter due to allergies in her most recent home. Koda was said to be housebroken and somewhat kennel trained (she likes to make noise in her kennel). She knows some basic commands, such as sit, stay and down. She has been known to chew, get into the trash, and be vocal at times. But she was said to ride well in the car. Koda can be nervous around men, but she was said to do well with women and kids as young as 4! Koda's interactions with other dogs in her most recent home were more positive than previously determined. However, she can be very excitable around other dogs and may come off too strong. Please use caution if planning to introduce her to any other dogs. She was said to like cats though! Koda does like to spend a lot of time outside, and she is used to being in a fenced in pen when outdoor. It was noted that she had used a boundary collar at times, but she did not always listen to it so it is not recommended. If you are interested in meeting Koda, please give us a call!10/25/25 This sweet little lady is Koda, and she is hoping to be an only dog. Koda was brought to the shelter because her previous owner needed to move into housing that did not allow pets. Koda was described as being a shy but gentle girl. She was said to not mind cats, but she dislikes other dogs and will growl at them. Koda has no experience with children, so please use caution and be sure to do slow and controlled introductions with kiddos. Koda was said to be housebroken and kennel trained. She is used to spending most of her time outside, so she may need some reminders on these issues in a new home as she adjusts to the routine. She has been known to jump on people and to be vocal at times. However, she was said to ride well in the car, and she knows some basic commands such as no, stay, and up. Koda was even said to have some training in harness, so she may be a great skijor or canicross buddy! If you are interested in meeting Miss Koda, please give us a call!
