Mali (A142866) is a 5-month-old GSD x Husky mix who weighed just over 20-pounds on intake! 08/31/26 Mali previously known as Bunyip has found her self back at the shelter due to not being a good fit with the other dogs in the home. She was stated to be a smart girl who is taking to learning basic commands well. She was said to do well with all people. Her previous owners said she was not getting along with the other dogs in the home. Please make sure you are doing slow and controlled introductions with any other animals in the home to set everyone up for success. She was also stated to have a high prey drive and should not go to a home with pocket pets. She was stated to be a super chewer! Making sure you are providing her with proper toys to chew on is important. Their mom was stated to be a German Shepherd, and their dad was said to be a husky. These pups were stated to be well socialized and very affectionate. They grew up in a home with children, dogs, cats, and chickens, and were said to do well with all! With their age and breed mix they are energetic and vocal. They are looking for homes that understand the work involved in raising a puppy. As they grow, they will need continued help with potty training, kennel training, basic commands, and continued socialization. They were said to have been working on getting used to the kennel. They will also need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. As they teeth, providing them with appropriate chew toys is also important!
