Freya (A140529) is a 16-week-old German Shepherd mix puppy who weighed 31.0 pounds on intake! 01/25/26 It's Freya! Formally Noelle, Ms. Freya has returned to shelter due to no fault of her own! Her previous owner unexpectedly had to leave state, but while they were together Freya made good progress with her basic training! Some regression in potty training is normal when moving to a new home, but she wines when she needs to go outside because Freya is house trained! (Good job Freya!) She can also sit, stay, and kennel! She rides well in the car, and does well with babies and children! Even though she likes kids she is still a jumper and it's always important to monitor interactions with young friends. Judging by how big she's grown since December Freya is going to be a big girl when she's all grown up so committing to her big girl manners now will be extra important! She is young so she may do well learning to live with other animal friends, but it's important to make slow, safe, and controlled introductions for best results. Freya will need a lot of mental and physical enrichment as she is a highly active breed mix. But if you feel like that sounds like a great time than please give the shelter a call about Freya!12/09/25 These adorable little pups arrived at the shelter as strays and are now looking for their new homes! Puppies are a lot of work and a large responsibility; however, they are worth the reward and the energy! They will need continued help with potty training, kennel training, and basic commands. Please keep in mind that puppies are just babies and need reassurance and patience. They are also teething so providing them with appropriate chews is important! If you are interested in meeting one of these little trouble makers, please let us know!
