Penny (A139894) is a 10-year-old kitty who weighed over 10 lbs at intake!Foster update: Penny is a firecracker on three legs, though you'll often forget she is missing one. She's independent but loves to spend time with you and politely asks for attention with a paw. She is not a picky eater and happily eats wet and dry food. Penny enjoys gentle pets on her terms and she will let you know when she's done. She is just as content to sit on your lap while you work or scurry around chasing a toy on a stick. Time is something she will need at the start of her stay, but she will adjust to her new surroundings. She is her best self when she is the only animal in the house. There's a lot of personality stuffed into this sweet little cat. If you are interested in meeting Penny, please let us know! 10/04/25 This sweet but shy kitty is Penny, and she only has 3 legs! Penny lost her hind right leg at the age of 1-year-old for unknown reasons. She doesn't let it slow her though! Or maybe she does. Penny is not one to run around a ton. Although she can be playful, she is much more of snuggler. She is quite shy and may take time to warm up to people. However, once she is comfortable, she loves her people fiercely! Penny is looking for a home without dogs. She finds them terrifying. Upon arriving at the shelter, Penny experienced some issues with urinating outside of the litter box. She has since been sent out for a urinary workup and given the all-clear for adoption! Penny may also do best in a home without children, as she can be nervous and doesn't like loud noises. If you think you have the perfect quiet home for this senior gal, please give the shelter a call!
