CHARLIE

Charlie (A140738) is a 7-month-old AK Malamute x GSD mix who weighed 45 pounds on intake! 1/6/26 This goofy boy is Charlie! Charlie arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for a new family to love! While at the shelter, he has been quite the character. He was initially a tad shy but came out of his shell quickly! Please keep in mind that there is always an adjustment period as critters adjust to their new home environment. The rule of three is a great rule to follow! Charlie has done an excellent job at keeping his kennel clean, indicating that he may already be housebroken! As he is a young boy, we encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class to continue working on his manners and learn a trick or two! We do not know his experience level with children or other animals. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new people and animals to help set him up for success. We have found that he is quite uncertain when children approach his kennel and appears fearful. He would most likely do best in a home without small children. He has seemed playful toward his doggy neighbors while at the shelter. If you are interested in meeting Charlie, please let us know!
