THOR

Thor (A141021) is a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who weighed 57.9 pounds on intake! 01/29/26 This adorable big boy is Thor! Thor was surrendered to the shelter with his canine buddy Loki! Thor can be a bit on the shy side but does warm up quickly. If you are unfamiliar with livestock guardian breeds, we encourage you to do the research prior to adoption. Thor is not comfortable on a leash and is looking for a patient owner who will continue to work with him. He would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to learn a trick or two and to continue building his confidence. Thor was stated to do well with babies and children. He was noted to be shy with strangers. Thor was said to be playful with dogs but has no experience with smaller critters. Appropriate introductions are key to setting him up for success. Thor was stated to be kennel-trained and to ride well in a car. He is not fully housebroken so this is something his next owner will need to continue helping him with.
