PEPPER

Pepper (A141037) is a 19-week-old lab x shepherd x heeler mix who weighed almost 30 lbs at intake and is still growing!01/31/26 This rambunctious little lady is Pepper! Pepper is a young lady who is reaching the piranha stage of puppyhood. At nearly 5-months-old, she is teething and starting to get brave in pushing boundaries. She already has a puppy obedience class under her belt and is looking for a patient and consistent owner to continue teaching her manners and more! Pepper was said to be kennel trained and housebroken. She knows sit, lay down, settle, crate and come. She was said to be playful around kids but she does jump up on them. She was also said to bark at and play with other dogs. Pepper has been known to chase cats. This may be a typical puppy play time behavior or possibly prey drive. Please use caution if planning to introduce Pepper to any kitties in the home. Any and all introductions with children and other animals should be done in a slow and controlled manner under supervision. Pepper has been known to bark at strangers at first approach. In typical puppy fashion, Pepper does chew and dig. Providing her with plenty of enrichment and appropriate chew toys can help redirect these behaviors.
