Bennett (A141623) is an 8-month-old shepherd mix who weighed just over 40 lbs at intake!04/08/26 Bennet was returned to the shelter because, sadly, the toddler in the home was scared of him after he nipped at them. This occurred when the toddler accidentally stepped on his tail. Bennet was said to do great with children but might do best in a home without toddlers. He was also said to do fabulously with every stranger that he met and was described as an outgoing and friendly pup! Bennet was also said to do well with other dogs but did not meet any cats while in their care. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with new critters. Bennet was said to know his basic commands, rides well in a car, and will stand by the door when he needs to go out to potty. If you are interested in meeting this sweet pup, please let us know! 04/04/26 This handsome guy is Bennett! Bennett arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we don't know much about his history. He has been very outgoing and affectionate with care staff during his stay. He is a young dog that will likely need some help with basic training. We do not know where he stands on potty training or kennel training. He appears to be very eager to please, so enrolling him in a basic obedience class would be a great first step in helping him become the best that he can be!
