FREYA

Freya (A141140) is a 7-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighed 75 pounds on intake. 02/09/26 This super sweet lady is Freya! Freya was surrendered to the shelter and is looking for a new home to live out her senior years! She is people-friendly and has historically done well with children. When it comes to other animals, Freya was said to do great with livestock, has no experience with cats, and will generally ignore other dogs (unless they are buddies and then will play). Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all animals to help set her up for success. Freya was stated to be kennel trained, housebroken, and rides well in a car. At the shelter, we have also found that she knows the command sit and has generally listened well. Her surrendering owner noted that she can be a bit of a wanderer, so she should be kept on a lead and supervised in a fenced yard. They did state that she does like to bark and can be pretty loud at times (good to know if you live in an apartment setting or with close neighbors).
