Meet Gatorade, a tiny but mighty puppy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. This little guy is just 8-10 weeks old, 4-5 lbs, and already proving how resilient and adaptable he is after being rescued from a shelter where he was dumped at only six weeks old. Gatorade is thriving in foster care and soaking up everything the world has to offer.
Gatorade starts his mornings around 8 AM with a trip outside to potty. He's still a baby, so his foster carries him straight from his crate to the grass to help set him up for success. Breakfast is Blue Buffalo puppy wet food, which he happily eats before launching into a full day of play. He spends his days romping around with his foster's resident dogs, including two large Labs and his very best friend, Mr. Figs, a 12-pound foster "babysitter" who matches his energy perfectly. Gatorade loves to wrestle and play chase, and while he'll entertain himself with soft toys, he really prefers turning them into a fun game of keep-away with another dog.
Because he's still so young, Gatorade is not fully potty trained and will have the occasional accident in the house. A cloth pee pad is available to him, which he will sometimes use, but frequent trips to the yard-about every hour-help minimize accidents. This is all very normal puppy behavior, and he's learning more every day. Around midday he'll nibble on some kibble, then enjoys another serving of wet food in the evening around 5:30 PM.
Gatorade is wonderfully comfortable in his crate. When nobody is home, he is happy, quiet, and content resting there. At night, after a busy day of play, he turns into a total cuddle bug and loves curling up on a lap or snuggling near his people on the couch. Bedtime is around 11 PM, and he sleeps straight through until 7 or 8 AM in his crate, tucked in with a cozy fluffy blanket. His crate is next to the bed, and he doesn't make a sound all night-he's never had an accident in the crate and clearly takes pride in being a good sleeper.
Gatorade would love to have a doggy playmate in his new home... but he also adores cats! He's been known to cuddle with the resident cat in his foster home.
Gatorade is a confident, social, and affectionate puppy who loves being around other dogs and people alike. He's playful, loving, and eager to be part of a home where he can continue learning, growing, and burning off his endless puppy energy. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Gatorade is going to make an incredible companion.
