The number one thing I will tell you about this dog is he is extremely intelligent. He has integrated with the other dogs well. He definitely is self-assured with them and understands how to communicate with other dogs. There is no doubt in my mind that this dog is extremely loyal. Whoever gets to adopt him will have a dog that will love them to the end of the Earth. He also clearly thrives on getting instructions and having a job. So whoever adopts him will want to ensure that he is receiving training and direction on a consistent basis. We believe he is a purebred red healer. I would encourage you to read about the breed. They are fascinating dogs and make fabulous family members for the right homes. Colt would do very well in a home with a lot of room to run and active family that is also dog savvy. A family that appreciates a working breed dog would be essential. Being his breed, we would recommend he not be adopted into a home with small children. But the most important is a dog savvy family.Did I mention that he is stunningly, handsome? While that is the least important, it certainly is nice. He's extremely photogenic and is a great size, weighing in at around 50 pounds. He walks well on leash and likes car rides._________________________________________________________________________Adoption Donation for Colt is $ 525.00WANT TO MEET ColtThe first step would be for you to go to our website at www.aear.org and then to the "Adopting a Pet" page to read about our Adoption Process which will answer many of your questions and then to fill out an Adoption Application. Also, please visit our very active Facebook Page for updates on Colt and our other adoptable pets with AEAR - www.facebook.com/aear.org
