Adoption Coordinator Danielle was able to spend 1-1 time with the adorable, beloved, and sweet Sugar Cube, `Today I got the opportunity to take a dog on a very chilly field trip! This little girl, Sugar Cube, has been breaking my heart. I've heard that she has been refusing to leave her kennel for potty breaks and I tried to send her out with a seasoned field tripper last week, but she put on the breaks. I was determined to get her out and about today. I see this dog almost every day, so she is somewhat comfortable with me. She gracefully put up with a lot of my silliness today, and made me proud! As you can see, I was able to get her all bundled up in a puffer jacket. We made a short trip to dog hill at Cherokee park to see all the carnage from the weekend sledding! There was no one at the park and it was so cool to see her take in all the bird sounds and peaceful silence of the snow. She was awesome on leash and perfectly told me when she was ready to head back to the warm truck. We took a little Highlands neighborhood tour on our way to grab a hot coffee and a pup cup. She took a little time to understand what to do with the pup cup, but figured it out and ate it so daintily and kept my truck clean!!! Heck yeah, I appreciated that! We made another short little trip to Joe Creason on the way back to the shelter to get in another walk. Unfortunately for Sugar Cube we had to make a freezing ladies room pit stop, but she handled it like a champ. I think she had a good morning, and that makes my heart happy. I'm hoping for a patient, sweet adopter for this pint sized angel. I love her so!`Sugar Cube needs a soft heart like Danielle's to give her the confidence and care she deserves! Shout out to Danielle..shegoes the extra mile everyday for the pets in care!Sugar Cube is dog friendly, around 1yr old, spayed female.
