Delilah

This sweet lady is Delilah and she just came to the Shelter Tuesday from another facility, thanks to the manger Brandi.
She has been sitting in another facility since September and despite some wonderful volunteers advocating for her. She continued to get over looked.
This is where it gets to me. This poor girl has some of the most infected looking ears that some have ever seen and a raw face from trying to get out of the kennel.
How this was ignored and not attended to is beyond me.
I will stop there because it will not do her any good at this point. I told you this because you can see some of this in the video on our FB page
I can not stand the thought of an animal being in pain and having no way to tell us or for a human being to not care enough to do something.
She is getting the care and medication she needs now thanks the staff at BCHS.
So now we need to get this girl to a home and to people that will love her the way she deserves.
We don't know her age but she gets along with other dogs. As you can imagine, she will need to stay on meds for awhile.
Despite how she must be feeling. She somehow is still able to express love to humans, the same humans that have failed her for God knows how many times in her short life.
She is at the Berkeley County Humane Society in Martinsburg West Virginia.
