TRICKS AHOY

Notes from my foster friends and adventure buddies:`Tricks Ahoy, or 'Tricks' as I’ve been calling him, is a friendly, affectionate boy who thrives on positive reinforcement. I’ve noticed that he learns best with praise and pets rather than treats when being trained. He loves being near people, giving kisses, cuddling, and is perfectly content napping next to you while you work or watch TV. Tricks responds well to his name, knows sit and paw, and is learning down.Tricks can jump on people when he’s excited, but with consistent guidance—asking him to sit or waiting for all four paws on the ground—his jumping improves quickly. After reinforcing this a few times, some people even commented on how sweet and gentle he was. He also pulls on the leash during walks, which will improve with continued training. Tricks is house-trained, tolerant of handling, takes treats/food nicely, and comfortable in the car and busy public spaces.With love, consistency, and a little training, Tricks has the potential to be the best dog ever.`
