Arya arrived the shelter in need of medical treatment and socialization. She is improving every day!Notes from her foster:`When I first took Arya in, she was very nervous to be touched or be near people. However, she is slowly making progress and with the help of her sister, Sansa, she is beginning to understand that it is okay to trust people! During the first day, she would not let me touch her at all, but now, she allows me to give her pets and allows me to touch her, especially when she is eating - which is a HUGE improvement. She is still very shy, but I think with time, she will be very open to trusting people in no time! Arya is also a very sweet and playful girl just like her sister, Sansa. She also loves feather toys, wands, and toys that have moving features. She enjoys chasing her sister's tail and play fighting with her. Arya may be most nervous one out of the two, but she is usually the one who steps in front of her sister in a protective mode towards to strangers! I love that courageous spirit of hers.As of 5/18/2026): Arya is becoming very playful and more interactive. She feels safe and appears to understand that she is loved and cared for and is allowing me to pet her and even rub her belly. She sometimes playfully nips at my fingers whenever I rub her belly, which makes me think that I can finally see her whimsical and adorable personality! Since the first day I took her in, she was very reserved, aloof, and refused to come out. Seeing her come out of her shell, running around, and playing, chasing, it was amazing to see how much of her personality blossomed!`
