He may be a little timid at first, but once he feels comfortable, you'll discover a gentle, affectionate guy who really just wants to be near his people.Gunter is treat motivated and loves spending time with his humans. Once he's decided you're his friend, he may even climb right into your lap for some extra love-because apparently being a lap dog is a perfectly reasonable career choice!He's a mild leash puller, but he's calm and non-reactive around other dogs. His easygoing nature makes him a lovely companion for walks and quiet time alike.Gunter will do best with someone willing to give him a little patience and encouragement as he builds confidence. With love, consistency, and continued training, this sweet boy has all the makings of a loyal best friend.If you're looking for a gentle soul who will happily trade treats for cuddles, Gunter is ready to meet you. Gunter recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine. He wasn't ready to play, but we hope that as he gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, he'll be ready to show us his silly side with other dogs. Looking for a buddy for your dog?
