Mina is proof that sometimes the best dogs just need a little time and kindness to let their true personalities shine. This young black Shepherd mix arrived at the shelter overwhelmed and unsure, and the noisy shelter environment felt very scary to her. But thanks to the patience and dedication of staff and volunteers, Mina has made incredible progress and is blossoming more every day.Now this sweet girl is showing everyone what a gem she truly is. Mina is friendly with both men and women, enjoys spending time with her people, and absolutely loves chasing a ball. The best part? You don't even need to play endless rounds of fetch - Mina is perfectly happy entertaining herself with her favorite toy while you cheer her on.Mina is also a big fan of her dog buddies in playgroups and really enjoys spending time with other dogs. Because of how social she is with her canine friends, she may love having a dog companion in her future home to play and relax with.Mina recently enjoyed a break from the shelter with a volunteer, where she met a cat. She was curious and interested, but not overly excited or reactive, which gives us hope that with proper introductions she may be able to successfully live with a feline friend.This beautiful girl has already come so far, and we know her confidence will continue to grow in a loving home. Mina has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog?
