Patience Is Her Love LanguageKatia is the kind of dog who won't ask for your heart right away-but with a little patience, she'll quietly earn it.The shelter has been overwhelming for this sweet girl. When you first meet her, she may try to make herself as small as possible while she figures out if the world is safe. But if you give her a little space and let her move at her own pace, you'll see her courage begin to shine.Once Katia starts to relax, she reveals a smart and gentle side. She's very treat motivated and already knows `sit,` `shake,` and `down.` She enjoys exploring the yard, and before long, she begins choosing to come over for snacks, gentle pets, and a little human company.Katia is still learning that new people can be trusted, so she'll do best with an adopter who respects her boundaries and lets the friendship grow naturally. Quick hand movements near her face, such as an open palm, can make her nervous, but with calm, thoughtful interactions, she's already showing signs of gaining confidence.Behind those worried eyes is a wonderful dog just waiting for someone to say, `Take all the time you need.` We think she'll reward that patience with a lifetime of loyalty and love.Katia has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.
