VANESSA

We elected to fast track this cat to adoptions. Therefore no full, formal behavior assessment was performed. This cat is behaviorally approved for adoption at this time.My foster family says: Vanessa may be lynx-like in looks, but there is no wild in her. She has a very sweet and calm nature. She was a very gentle and patient mama to four kittens, and is ready to be the one doted on. Vanessa readily purrs with pets and scratches, and she allows being picked up and held as well. She is well socialized, and had no problems with strangers or with strangers playing with her kittens. She was not exposed to young children, only kids 11 and older but was fine with them. She even purred when the 11-year-old neighbor (cat-experienced) held her. Vanessa is good about using the scratchers, both vertical and horizontal. She prefers the sisal vertical kind the most, though, not the carpeted kind. Her favorite toys are the laser light and hanging out in the cube.
