Despite a stressful start that involved chaos and confusion, Abby consistently showed that she’s easy to handle, tolerant, and genuinely interested in people.In the shelter, Abby has proven to be easy to leash, easy to walk out, and easy to return. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and will happily approach handlers for affection, offering gentle, low tail wags. She’s tolerant of petting and handling (including ears, teeth, and belly touches) and doesn’t show sensitivity when being handled.Abby is not reactive to dogs she passes on leash or sees in yards, though she can get worked up at a fence if another dog escalates—something many dogs struggle with. She would benefit from calm introductions and thoughtful management around barriers.This girl has energy and enthusiasm! Abby pulls hard on leash and will do best with a harness to keep her comfortable. She also loves to run full-speed straight at her people and can be a bit of a body slammer, so she’s best matched with adopters who are steady on their feet and appreciate a playful, physical dog.
