01/16/26This friendly and affectionate dog is confident on leash, curious about his surroundings, and calm around other dogs. He enjoys interacting with familiar people, leaning on them and seeking affection, and is tolerant of handling, including invasive procedures. While sometimes cautious with new handlers, he is willing to approach and explore, showing curiosity and sociability. He would thrive in a loving home with consistent interaction and gentle guidance.12/13/25 13:47Meet Monique, a 4 year old 66 pound female German Shepherd. She is available for both rescue and adoption with a waiver, for acknowledgement of diagnosed grade III dental disease. Monique has been an absolute sweetie, she might need a moment to meet & sniff, but once she is familiar with someone, she has been nothing but extremely caring. Familiar handlers have had no issue leashing and walking Monique. She has accepted pets with a loose body and a wagging tail, and even rested her head in a familiar handlers lap. While nervous at first, Monique has lots of love to give, and when relaxed, has even shown a more adventurous side to her.11/12/25 10:20Fearful dog in the shelter.
