*** MOOSE HAS BEEN GRANTED A 72-HOUR EXTENSION. MOOSE MUST LEAVE THE SHELTER BY 5PM 02/01/26 ***01/15/26 16:04 Updating needs rescue status to final, review date of 01/29/26. P was neutered and had radiographs of pelvic limbs today. Left pelvic limb: grade 4 luxated patella, abnormal distal femur and abnormal proximal tibia and fibula conformations and deformities, degenerative joint changes in stifle joint with severe crepitus, and decreased function of left pelvic limb with associated significant muscle atrophy noted. Suspect old/chronic past injury versus developmental/congenital deformation and subsequent changes. In addition to high FAS in shelter as previously noted, p needs orthopedic specialist evaluation to determine possible options and prognosis for left pelvic limb condition.01/22/26 01:56First time meeting. Was at kennel door, excited to come out. Easy to leash and unleash. Walks nicely on lead, doesn't pull. Interested in other dogs but not reactive. Did not solicit petting but tolerated. Playful, likes chasing/catching toys and sniffingSubmitted By: Emily Ellefson12/30/25 13:45Seeking rescue for Moose due to stress while in the shelter. Moose is displaying high FAS while in kennel, heavily panting and repeatedly barking. At this time Moose is stiff and stoic when out of the kennel and uninterested in interacting with staff. Tolerant of petting and touch but does not solicit attention, occasionaly flinches away when touched suddenly. Moose would benefit from leaving the shelter to allow for him to de-stress in a calmer environment.
