02/13/26 14:37 **UDPATE** Medical team performed chest/abdomen x-rays today (no sign of metastasis), performed spay, dental extractions, and mammary nodule removal (histopathology pending) 02/09/26 17:40New intake - stray senior F intact chihuahua, friendly but headshy(Brought into shelter with AID 1402312)AID 1402314 has the following medical issues on intake examination:- severe KCS `dry eye` in both eyes - started on lubricant and tacrolimus (dry eye medication) - will recheck tear production in a few weeks to see if meds helping. If tear production does not improve, patient may need bilateral enucleation to stop the discomfort and pain.- blind - this dog may have lens disease or retinal disease in addition to it's dry eye - dental calculus, many missing teeth, and all 4 canines are broken and need to be extracted- 1 palable small mammary mass - dermatitis - hair loss and nodules on it's back that could either be cysts or deep bacterial infection, and is currently starting an antibiotic trial- medial patellar luxation in both knees but seems to be ambulating comfortably at this timeWill need:- Chest x-rays prior to spay to make sure no metastatis from mammmary mass. - Dental extractions (all 4 canines, minimally) and dental cleaning.- Long term eye medications to control dry eye and bilateral eye removal if medications cannot control the dry eyeMay need:- Further skin workup/treatment if antibiotics due to resolve nodular lesions on the backSenior labwork largely unremarkable apart from mild anemia.Off of stray hold: 2/12/26 In need of urgent rescue due to comorbidities
