CINDER

Cinder is an ~8 year old black male chihuaha/hound mix (medium ~30-40 lb) who is very shy in kennel but allows for invasive physical exam. Walks nicely on leash, seems potty trained, non-reactive towards other dogs. He's a love.Cinder has a `pot-bellied` appearance and thin flaking fur on his dorsum and has a very high ALP value on bloodwork, suggestive of an underlying endocrine disorder (such as Cushing's disease), though definitive labwork and diagnostic testing (including endocrine testing for thyroid and cortisol diseases) is needed for diagnosis and treatment.Cinder is also being treated for mild CIRD (`kennel cough`) and after 7 days of antibiotic only has mild residual sneezing.Seeking medical rescue willing to pursue endocrine testing and treatment if indicated.
