Meet Ricochet – The High-Energy, Hyper-Focused Pup! Ricochet is a 1-year-old, neutered Pit Bull-Husky mix with a spirited and energetic personality. In his kennel he can be very jumpy and highly engaged with his surroundings, showing a strong drive to interact with everything around him.When it’s time to leave the kennel, Ricochet pulls hard on leash and can be very mouthy. He frequently jumps up on his handler and may nip at skin or clothing when excited. Verbal corrections alone don’t seem to influence his behavior, but he is treat motivated and can be distracted by tossing treats during interactions.Ricochet is extremely focused on his environment — sights, sounds, smells — and this high level of arousal can make it challenging for him to settle without structured guidance. His enthusiasm and intensity are clear, and he responds best when his attention is redirected with food rewards or enrichment.Ricochet would benefit most from an experienced adopter who understands high-drive dogs and can provide consistent training, structure, and appropriate outlets for his energy. Because of his jumpiness and mouthiness, a home with no children is recommended.
